Family Photo, part 2

Yesterday our DMV papers came back, which meant that today we wanted to do a final push to get everything in... including the family picture.

We had a few more misfires:

Using the amazing draw of food, and the realization that the cats couldn't be held in the picture for it to work, we finally got this one:

We are all in it, and its not a bad picture of anyone! Yay, cross that off the list... and hopefully our packet to the Home study agency will be in the mail this week!

See, you can solve any problem that involves cats and dogs with a judicious application of meat! (I think that goes for many husbands as well) Anyway, I'm glad that you have everything together for your adoption packet!

hahaha.. You guys look great! Your husband has lost so much weight he looks so healthy! Well, I only know him from the previous pictures I saw. Glad to see you got your family picture girl!

Adoption Timeline

Steps without timing:
-Completed and mailed the adoption application and the home study application.
-I have my passport now, and we have sent back more papers to both the home study agency and the adoption agency.
- We received two manila envelopes full of papers from our home study to start working on for them before we can do interviews.
-We finished our online training.
Steps with timing:
-We mailed our home study packet of papers on 4/4/11 -Finished our interviews 5/16. Got a call that our home study was received by our adoption agency 5/26/11. I-600A sent off week of 6/13/11.
-Received our I171H in the mail 7/25/11.
- Told to prepare our dossier because a child may be available "soon" 5/16/12. -Sent our dossier to our agency 6/25/12.
-Got notice our dossier was en route to Ghana 7/6/12
-Got our referral call!!! 8/23/12
-PASSED COURT! LEGALLY PARENTS! Wow!- Week of 10/15/12
-Met our daughter, and filed our I-600 without a birth certificate on 11/29/12.
Amazingly got I-600 approval on 12/11/12!

Told her passport was ready on 2/18/13

Visa Interview 3/11/13, needed more papers

Papers submitted 3/19/13, and issued print date of 3/22/13
